Jordan Tarlow is a musician who became familiar to a wider audience partly because of his marriage to Martha Quinn.
However, describing him simply as “Martha Quinn’s husband” leaves out an important part of his story.
Jordan has spent years connected with music.
His professional credits have included work as a:
Guitarist.
Composer.
Producer.
Engineer.
Vocalist.
Keyboard player.
Multi-instrumentalist.
His musical work has moved through different styles and different periods.
That gives him an identity separate from his wife’s television and radio career.
Why Is Jordan Tarlow Famous?
Jordan is known for two main reasons.
The first is music.
He became associated with The Fuzztones, a band known for garage rock and psychedelic influences.
The second is his marriage to Martha Quinn.
Martha became one of the faces most closely connected with the earliest years of MTV.
Those two worlds made Jordan interesting to both music fans and people interested in 1980s pop culture.
Is Jordan Tarlow Martha Quinn’s Husband?
Yes.
Jordan Tarlow is Martha Quinn’s husband.
They married on December 6, 1992, and are publicly listed as having two children together.
By September 2026, their marriage has lasted almost 34 years.
That makes it a notably long relationship, especially for a couple connected with entertainment.
Who Is Martha Quinn?
Martha Quinn is an American television and radio personality.
She became famous as one of the original VJs on MTV.
A VJ is similar to a radio DJ, but instead of mainly introducing songs for radio listeners, MTV’s early VJs introduced music videos and spoke directly to television audiences.
Martha became one of the best-known faces of that early MTV era.
When Was Martha Quinn Born?
Martha Quinn was born on May 11, 1959, in Albany, New York.
She later studied at New York University.
Her career changed dramatically when she became part of MTV’s original group of video jockeys.
Why Was MTV So Important to Martha Quinn’s Career?
MTV changed popular music.
Before music videos became a major television format, listeners usually experienced artists through:
Radio.
Records.
Concerts.
Magazines.
MTV added a powerful visual side.
Suddenly, a musician’s clothes, videos, personality, and image could matter almost as much as the song.
The original VJs helped guide viewers through this new form of entertainment.
Martha became one of those recognizable early personalities.
Was Martha Quinn One of the Original MTV VJs?
Yes.
She belonged to the original MTV VJ group alongside Nina Blackwood, Mark Goodman, Alan Hunter, and J.J. Jackson.
That gave Martha a permanent place in music-television history.
Was Jordan Tarlow Famous Before Marrying Martha Quinn?
Jordan already had his own musical background.
His career was never as mainstream or television-focused as Martha’s, but he worked within rock music independently of her fame.
That distinction matters.
He was not simply someone who entered entertainment through marriage.
Was Jordan Tarlow in The Fuzztones?
Yes.
Jordan has professional credits connected with The Fuzztones.
AllMusic lists him with credits involving guitar, vocals, electric sitar, composing, producing, engineering, and other music-related work across recordings connected with the group.
Who Are The Fuzztones?
The Fuzztones are an American garage-rock band known for a sound influenced strongly by 1960s psychedelic and garage music.
Their style often includes:
Heavy guitar.
Vintage rock energy.
Psychedelic sounds.
Garage-band attitude.
Organ and keyboard textures.
Raw vocals.
The band developed a loyal following rather than functioning like a conventional polished pop act.
What Did Jordan Tarlow Do in The Fuzztones?
Jordan’s credits show that he was more than someone who simply stood on stage holding a guitar.
His documented musical contributions include work involving:
Guitar.
Vocals.
Electric sitar.
Composition.
Production.
Engineering.
AllMusic specifically lists several of these roles on recordings connected with The Fuzztones.
Did Jordan Tarlow Play Guitar?
Yes.
Guitar is one of the clearest instruments associated with his music career.
His work with The Fuzztones placed him inside a guitar-driven style of rock.
Did Jordan Tarlow Sing?
Vocals also appear among his professional credits.
However, he should not necessarily be described as a famous solo singer.
His broader identity is more accurately described as a musician and multi-instrumentalist.
Did Jordan Tarlow Play the Sitar?
An electric sitar appears among his music credits.
That makes sense within psychedelic-influenced music.
Rock musicians have long experimented with sitar sounds to create a different, more atmospheric texture.
Was Jordan Tarlow a Songwriter?
Yes.
Composer credits are associated with his work.
That means his contribution went beyond simply performing music written by someone else.
Was Jordan Tarlow a Producer?
Production is also part of his documented music work.
A producer can help shape:
Sound.
Arrangement.
Recording choices.
Instrument balance.
Overall direction.
The exact role changes from project to project.
Was Jordan Tarlow an Audio Engineer?
Engineering work also appears among his credits.
That shows a technical side to his career.
Music production involves much more than performing.
Someone with experience in recording and engineering may understand both the artistic and technical parts of creating a record.
What Is Jordan Tarlow’s Connection to In Heat?
AllMusic credits Jordan on The Fuzztones’ 1989 album In Heat with several roles, including vocals, guitar, electric sitar, composition, and production.
This is one of the clearer examples of his broad musical abilities.
Was Jordan Tarlow Only Active in the 1980s?
No.
His music story did not completely end with that era.
He later became connected with another project called Future User.
That moved his public music history into a very different period and style.
What Is Future User?
Future User is an American rock project formed in Los Angeles.
The group has been associated with bassist Tim Commerford, Jordan Tarlow, and drummer Jon Knox.
Its music combines elements of progressive rock, electronic music, and alternative rock.
Was Jordan Tarlow in Future User?
Yes.
Jordan has been identified as a member of Future User.
He was associated particularly with keyboards and programming in the project.
Who Is Tim Commerford?
Tim Commerford is a bassist famous for his work with Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave.
His involvement gave Future User an immediate connection with major alternative-rock history.
Jordan’s work with him shows that his musical career extended beyond one garage-rock band.
Was Future User a Traditional Rock Band?
Not exactly.
The project mixed rock with electronic ideas.
That is why the term “progtronic” has been used in descriptions of its style.
Think about it simply.
Traditional rock might focus heavily on:
Guitar.
Bass.
Drums.
Live performance.
Future User added stronger electronic elements and programming to that foundation.
What Did Jordan Tarlow Do in Future User?
Jordan was particularly associated with keyboards and programming.
That is interesting because it shows musical range.
Earlier credits emphasized areas such as:
Guitar.
Vocals.
Electric sitar.
Production.
Later work included electronic programming and keyboards.
That makes “multi-instrumentalist” a useful description of him.
Did Future User Release an Album?
Yes.
Future User released SteroidsOrHeroin in 2015.
The project gave Jordan another documented chapter in music long after his earlier Fuzztones work.
Is Jordan Tarlow Still a Musician?
Music remains the profession most strongly connected with him publicly.
However, exact current projects in 2026 should not be guessed.
Musicians can move between:
Recording.
Production.
Private studio work.
Live performances.
Songwriting.
Other creative projects.
A lack of constant mainstream headlines does not mean someone stopped making music.
Did Jordan Tarlow Leave The Fuzztones?
Bands often change lineups over time.
Jordan’s strongest Fuzztones credits are associated with earlier periods of the group.
His later involvement with Future User shows that his creative path moved beyond one band.
Was Jordan Tarlow More Famous With The Fuzztones or Future User?
The Fuzztones gave him a longer-standing connection with garage and psychedelic rock history.
Future User connected him with a later experimental project involving Tim Commerford.
Different music fans may therefore know Jordan from different eras.
Did Jordan Tarlow Have a Solo Career?
There is no major mainstream solo-star career associated with him.
He is better understood through:
Bands.
Collaboration.
Production.
Multi-instrumental work.
Songwriting.
Did Jordan Tarlow Release Solo Albums?
No large, internationally famous solo discography defines his career.
That does not mean he lacked independent creative work.
It simply means his public music identity is more strongly connected with groups and collaborations.
How Did Jordan Tarlow Meet Martha Quinn?
The precise first-meeting story is not as firmly documented as their marriage date.
They both moved within music-related circles, so their worlds had natural overlap.
Martha worked in radio and music television.
Jordan worked as a musician.
However, it would be misleading to invent:
A specific concert where they met.
An exact first conversation.
A friend who introduced them.
A detailed first date.
The reliable public point is that their relationship became serious and they married in 1992.
When Did Jordan Tarlow and Martha Quinn Marry?
They married on December 6, 1992.
By 2026, they have shared more than three decades of marriage.

Her professional life moved beyond the earliest MTV years and included radio and other entertainment work.
Marriage did not erase her independent career.
Did Jordan Tarlow Manage Martha Quinn?
There is no major public evidence showing Jordan served as Martha’s professional manager.
Their marriage should not automatically be turned into a professional management arrangement.
Martha’s career involved her own media and broadcasting relationships.
Did Martha Quinn Manage Jordan Tarlow’s Music?
Again, there is no reason to make that assumption.
A married couple can support each other without formally managing each other’s careers.
Did Jordan and Martha Work Together Professionally?
Their worlds naturally overlap through music and media.
However, they are best known for different professional areas.
Jordan:
Music.
Instruments.
Bands.
Production.
Martha:
Television.

Broadcasting.
That separation may have helped each person maintain an independent identity.

They are publicly listed as having two children.
Their children have not been turned into the main focus of their parents’ celebrity.
That privacy should be respected.

Children of entertainment figures can choose ordinary or private lives.
What Are Jordan Tarlow’s Children’s Names?
The couple’s family life has received less attention than Martha’s television career or Jordan’s music work.
Even when names appear in older interviews or family references, there is no reason to overexpose private adult children.

Did Jordan Tarlow’s Children Become Musicians?
No major music careers should be assigned to them without strong confirmation.
Creative parents do not automatically produce children who enter the same profession.
Is Jordan Tarlow a Father?
Yes.
His marriage to Martha includes two children.
That makes fatherhood an important part of his personal life even though he rarely turns it into publicity.
What Kind of Father Is Jordan Tarlow?
Only his children and family can answer that properly.
A public biography should not invent descriptions such as:
Strict.
Relaxed.
Perfect.
Traditional.
Overprotective.
Supportive.
Those are personal judgments requiring firsthand knowledge.
Did Jordan and Martha Keep Their Children Away From Fame?
Their children have maintained far less public visibility than Martha.
Whether this resulted from a deliberate family decision or simply their children’s own choices is private.
The result is clear.
Their family did not become a major reality-TV brand.
Did Jordan Tarlow Have a Reality Show?
No major reality show is associated with him.
That makes his long marriage to a famous television personality relatively unusual in modern celebrity culture.
The couple did not build their public identity around revealing every family argument or private moment.
Is Jordan Tarlow an Actor?
No major acting career defines him.
IMDb lists him in connection with music-department work rather than as a major screen actor.
Music remains the stronger description.

He should not be treated as a mainstream movie star.
Any screen-related credits connected with music work are different from building a professional acting career.

That fits his broader musical and technical background.

That means a precise birthday should not be invented.

Some biography websites may publish an age or year.
Unless that information can be firmly confirmed, it is safer to leave his age uncertain.

Martha was born in 1959.
Jordan’s exact birth information is much less publicly documented.
Where Was Jordan Tarlow Born?
His exact birthplace is not consistently documented in strong mainstream biographies.

His documented strengths are broader across guitar, keyboards, vocals, composition, production, and electronic work.

Garage rock.
Psychedelic rock.
Alternative sounds.
Electronic elements.

Still, “garage-rock and psychedelic musician” is usually a more precise description than simply calling Jordan a punk musician.

Within certain music circles, yes.
He has legitimate professional credits separate from Martha.
However, Martha is more recognizable to mainstream American audiences because MTV placed her face on television.
Jordan’s fame is more specialized.
Is Jordan More Than Martha Quinn’s Husband?
Absolutely.
That is one of the most important points in his biography.
Martha’s fame explains why many people search him.
But Jordan had music credentials independent of the marriage.

Production.
Studio work.
Future User.
Electronic music.
That makes him a creative professional in his own right.

It would be misleading to take an estimate of Martha’s wealth and simply label it Jordan’s net worth.

However, Jordan’s exact royalty arrangements are private.

Martha helped introduce music to television audiences.
Jordan helped create music.
One stood in front of television cameras.
The other worked primarily through instruments, studios, and bands.
Their careers were different but connected by music.
Why Is Jordan Tarlow’s Privacy Important?
Jordan has professional music credits.
That does not mean every part of his personal life should become public.
There is no need to expose:
His home address.

Medical information.
Family disagreements.
Daily movements.
Private social-media accounts.
People can understand his music career and marriage without invading his personal life.

That range shows he was not limited to one simple job.

Jordan became part of Future User with Tim Commerford and Jon Knox.
There, his work became associated more strongly with keyboards, programming, and the combination of rock with electronic sound.
This gave him a creative connection with more than one generation of rock music.
His private life also became tied to American music history.

Martha was already famous as one of MTV’s original VJs.
She belonged to a small group of personalities who helped introduce an entirely new era of music television.

They have two children.
Yet they did not turn the family into a reality-TV product.
Their children remained much less public.

His exact date of birth is not strongly documented.
That means his precise age in 2026 should not be guessed.
His exact birthplace and education are also not widely established.
His independent net worth has never been publicly verified.
Martha Quinn’s media earnings should not simply be counted as Jordan’s wealth.

He wrote music.
He produced.
He worked with different instruments.
